How Patients Feel

1I am not usually picky about dentists, but I was disturbed by my experience here last year. It was the quickest cleaning I've ever had (maybe 15 minutes, at most) and I didn't feel that it was at all thorough. (I don't know what the hurry was because I was the only patient in the office.) I was then pressured to get extensive (and expensive!) bonding, which I honestly do not believe I need. They freaked me out by making it sound like my teeth would be damaged if I did not get it, yet I have no past dental problems, am in my 20s, don't smoke, brush and floss diligently, and have never had a single cavity. When I expressed hesitation, they urged me to schedule an appointment that day. I am used to trusting doctors and dentists, so I did schedule it, but it didn't feel right. After my appointment, I consulted with my former dentist (in another city) and decided that the bonding was unnecessary and a ploy to make money, so I canceled my appointment. I will not go back.

22Front desk and hygienists were very nice, although the Brooklyn office set up was a bit awkward. (Dentist chair/room was open ceiling format, no door & so you could hear everything from the waiting room). I had a couple of fillings replaced- pretty standard, but procedure could've gone smoother/gentler by Dr. Levingart. Satisfactory overall... I've had better experiences with other dentists.
