I called the evening before to set up appts for my kids. I was very happy when they were able to get all 3 of my kids in the next morning. The receptionist told me to either come in at 7:45 to fill out the paperwork or I could print them off myself & come in at my scheduled time.The wait time was nothing at all. They called my oldest for a consultation right away. I needed to go in the consultation room but I had to get other 2 little ones that were playing in the play area(seriously my kids loved it). The hygienist wasn't too happy that she had to wait 2 minutes for my kids to come around. We are all in this room & we didn't get a hello, hi, how are you, my name is, this is what we are doing today, glad you decided to chose our practice..Nothing. I got the gum smacking, looking off in another direction, are you allergic to anything, are you on any medication, etc. Lord forgive me for telling you that my daughter does have an issue & that yes she is on medicine. This lady was so unhappy with her job. First of all, everything was written in the papers if they would have taken just 2 minutes to read through them.We go in the back & the whole place is open. Honestly not a bad set up but I feel bad for any of the younger children that are terrified. There is no privacy at all. The lady that worked on my oldest was just very miserable & fake. She rolled her eyes at everything & made smart ass comment as if no one knew what she was doing. They were very rough with my kids. 2 out of the 3 complained. None of them had a clue as to what was going on. When it came to the Dr,He didn't even introduce himself to me. He just sat down. When I started asking questions about my oldest teeth. He seemed very annoyed even after I told him that a previous dentist recommended it. He even went as far as adding stuff on my daughter report after I pointed things out. I had no idea what was going on even after the receptionist came to the back in a very rude manner asking loudly when I wanted to do my next appointment. I looked at her and said" I'll be up there when my youngest is done". They look at me like "they are done". Then why the heck are the children still sitting in your chairs .I didn't even get a handshake from the Dr or a goodbye. Nothing. I had NO CLUE they were done. I grab the children and walk to the front. Meanwhile, The receptionist is trying to get her composure back and blaming her frustration on the computer & that it locked up but how convenient it started working as soon as you pressed a button. So now, Im trying to set up an apt for my kids but the receptionist had no clue what she was doing. I wasn't sure what was getting done because the papers don't state what needs to be done next. The receptionist was trying to set it up for the next morning and when I said that didn't work out for me bc I had things to do at the school, she seemed very inconvenience bc she had to look at the next week. By that time, I was done with the place. I decided I'd just make the appointment for the next day, finish what needed to be done for the kids and that would be it, I 'd go back to their old dentist. I get into the car with the kids & again 2 out of 3 say they didn't like the people. They loved the play area though. I'm pulling out of the parking lot and the sealant that was just put on had come off already. I turn around, go back in. Explain what the deal was & canceled the appt for the next day. This may be a great place but the staff was rude. It was just a very unhappy experience. Especially being new patients. I'm glad that we get to go back to our old dentist. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes in the opposite direction to Gainesville. There is more that happened that would make this review make more sense but I just don't have enough space. How sad is that! I'm not one to write reviews but I just had to especially when our referral for the orthodontist said "For Crowding...." and yes the lady put' ....' How professional is that?
