Do not go to Dr. Welinsky if you have Medicaid. I went to Dr. Welinsky to get a crown put on a tooth after having a root canal performed by an endodontist. Dr. Welinsky informed me in March that the tooth was "unsavable" due to a partial root being left in. I believe she did not want to put a crown in my mouth because I had Medicaid and she would not be reimbursed enough. Later, in July of the same year, I went to another dentist which I paid for out of pocket and he said there was "absolutely no reason that tooth could not have been saved" and that it was in good condition. When I called Dr. Welinsky and informed her of this, she and her staff became very angry and dismissed me from her practice and refused to treat me. She even tried to deny me copies of my medical records, which she did not release until October. Dr. Welinsky caused me a tooth due to her negligence. Please avoid this practice at all costs; she lies to benefit her pocketbook.
