44The worst mistake I've made is letting Dr. Blank and his staff touch my teeth. I should have known by the dirty waiting room and rude receptionists that this place was awful, but against my better judgement I went through with it anyway. I had two wisdom teeth removed, and I asked to be sedated because I suffer from anxiety and didn't want to be awake for the pulling and tugging. His nurses struggled to find a vein and insisted that my sleeves were too tight for them to place the IV. Mind you, I was never told what to wear or given any pre-op instructions ever. I was basically pressured by Blank and his rude nurse (black hair with heavy Russian accent) to just get local anesthesia and it was clearly bc this was more convenient for them.Dr. Blank took my stitches out five days later (why they don't just use dissolvable stitches I still don't know) and despite following care instructions to the T, about a week later I developed a dry socket. This is when the practice showed their true colors. Dr. Blank was completely careless and nonchalant during the follow up care. Appointments never started on time, and whenever I asked questions about the treatment of the socket, I was always given rushed and confusing answers. When the doc left the room, his rude nurse implied that I should just take pain killers and stop coming back. Literally left the office in tears of frustration, wondering if discrimination was at play. Imagine being in pain weeks after getting teeth pulled and the Dr. who operated on you has no answers as to when you'll be healed. It was absolutely awful. Please, there are much better dental offices in NYC than this. Don't waste your time money or sanity dealing with this nightmare of a clinic.
