Yup.
If I had two word to sum up this dentist, it would be "The Devil". Many years ago Paul Cohen destroyed my teeth to the point where it still haunts me to this day. I am now 33 years old with most of my teeth gone due to this evil, disgusting greedy dentist. Essentially, he purposely put massive badly done fillings in my teeth, hoping they would come out soon after in hopes I would come back to have them re-done. His plans to have them come out soon after did happen, but I most certainly never came back to him to have them fixed because he purposely made the fillings so deep that if they fell out, it would mean removal and implants. In short, Paul Cohen is "The Devil" and should not be practicing on patients teeth. He is a greedy monster purposely messing up people's teeth in hopes of them returning for more costly procedures. The apple does not fall far from the tree so Paul Cohen nor any of his descendants should practice in any field of medicine. Paul Cohen is a truly wicked man and needs to be investigated. .
DR. AMY DUKOFF, worked on a tooth that needed no work. She should have called my dentist from the onset if there was confusion as to which tooth needed a root canal. Some two weeks after the appointment, I got a call from DUKOFF. She offered, "free dental treatment in exchange for taking care of her mother." In a taped call, I explained that I wasn't interested and found her UNETHICAL. My dentist advised filing a complaint with the 1st district against her. When I was in her office, she complained about the, "jerk" dentist who works in her office and the fact that he broke the lease to the office. She told me about an affair she was having with a married dentist and then referred me to him. DUKOFF has art time office help and the woman doesn't know what she is doing. I asked my x rays several times and was hung up on. DUKOFF IS E XTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND MANIPULATIVE. STAY AWAY FROM HER AT ALL COSTS!.
I've had problematic teeth since the age of 5 when I had my first experience with a Dentist and overheard him tell my mother that I needed to have a tooth pulled... I ran out of the office… And so my fear of Dentists began… For 50 years I kept searching for the perfect Dentist and found one, but, after 15 years as a patient of hers, she retired… Now I needed to do my search all over again… Enter Dr. Wengrover… What a find!!! Besides being smart, and caring, I find Dr. Wengrover to be painless; very professional; knowledgeable; kind; patient; gentle and takes pride in the work he does… And, I absolutely do not fear going to the Dentist… I have some very challenging dental concerns as my teeth are problematic, and he ALWAYS knows what to do to fix the problems… He meets every challenge… I couldn't be happier….
His books are a real public service and I learn something new every time. In Psychotherapy Without the Self, he makes the excellent point about opening up a new avenue for working through difficult emotions by shifting attention from the feeling to identification with the feeling. This technique could be significantly extended to something I call “targeted insight,” analogous to a psychological dexterity on par with a musician practicing to perfect a score or an athlete developing muscle memory. Dr. Epstein is also brave. On page 121 of Going on Being, he points out the high “failure rate” for psychoanalysis. I’ll wager the failure rate for CBT and the more focused therapies like Interpersonal is far, far lower..
Great guy, had pain problems for years in a tooth and he made it go away. Dig..
