Ramsay Paul Nuwayhid

I am terribly nervous about going to the dentist and put it off as long as I can. I was very comfortable with Dr. Nuwayhid and his staff and they are very knowledgeable. However, when I got to the checkout, I was charged $150 dollars for a cleaning. I have never had to pay anything, as two a year are covered by my Southland insurance. When I called to make an appointment, I was told they did accept my insurance but never in the conversation was I told my insurance didn’t cover what they charge and that I would have to pay out of pocket. Had I known this, I could have chosen another dentist where I would have to pay nothing out of pocket. This was very dishonest on their part, especially because they knew this about my insurance and their prices and CHOSE to say nothing except “I’m sorry” as they ran my debit card. While I was very impressed and comfortable with their care, I am extremely disappointed in their blatant dishonesty and lack of making it right. I will never use this office again and I hope people who read this will ask a lot of questions before scheduling an appointment to save you from making the same mistake I did.
