Outreach Dentistry

Years ago, I had to have a front incisor pulled. As luck would have it, I had to represent my company at a Fort Bend County Education Foundation fundraiser dinner THAT NIGHT! Dr. Yazdi and her staff pulled the tooth and put in a temporary bridge across 3 teeth that matched perfectly. One of her techs put the finishing touches on the bridge and had me out of the office in time for the anesthesia to wear off before dinner! BUT THEN... When I got home, I noticed a gap in between my two front teeth! My anxiety (and probably a little vanity) turned this 1 mm gap into the Grand Canyon.. I called Dr. Yazdi in a panic, certain the world was ending. She told me, “Calm down. I got you. Now, hang up and pay attention to the road! I'll see you when you get here.” Like an absolute angel, Dr Yazdi sat me in the chair, talked some calm into me, and “fixed” what surely wasn't nearly as much of an emergency as I had made it out to be. As she was finishing up, the tech from earlier crept up, almost in tears, wanting to apologize. Days later, when Dr. Yazdi put in the permanent bridge, I was soooo happy when the same tech came around the corner with a nervous laugh said, “Don't worry... Dr. Yazdi will be putting it in, I'm just helping.” It's not often people rave about dental visits, but every visit I've had with Dr. Yazdi and her staff has been, pleasant, comfortable, and full of smiles and laughs. I'm planning on seeing her and her staff again soon. And, strange as it sounds, I'm actually looking forward to a trip to the dentist! (Oh, and the bridge still looks GREAT! Thanks for saving the day... and my smile!)
