My grade of three stars is a compromise between excellent (Dr. Du is personable, highly skilled, and good with explaining procedures) and negative. Why negative? In neither of my last two six-month check-ups / cleanings over the space of a year did Dr. Du request X-rays, although this had previously been the norm given my dental history. X-rays may have caught a new molar cavity, which got so big that I had to have an expensive and painful root canal only a month after my last visit. My recommendation for Dr. Du\'s patients is to take an active role in record keeping and not rely 100-percent on the dentist.
