I have nothing but praise for him and his staff..
I visited Dr. Hughes throughout my whole childhood. As an adult attempting to continue my dental care, it became apparent that he was a sub-par practitioner at best. I found out that I had a filling that was not placed correctly and ended up stabbing into my gums. Additionally, he did not take necessary precautions when doing large fillings, causing me to need crowns later on. I have never had pain during a procedure since leaving his practice. I don't remember a SINGLE visit without pain..
Dr. McGrath insisted on fitting me with a crown that was much too big. I repeatedly told him it was causing intense pain. Neighboring teeth were displaced. 3 crowns and 5 months later my neighboring front teeth are crooked and he refuses to take any responsibility..
Very nice person but since my father has had work done (new plate), he has not been able to eat most foods. He has lost weight dramatically and now spends hours trying to chew his food. He did go back in but still has issues. This was a huge investment for someone on a fixed income and feel like the situation is worse than before the work was done..
