Run don't walk away from this place! My 83-year-old Mom paid $822 for her patient part of the fees for new dentures after she was shown the Pre-treatment explanation of benefits from her insurance company at the time of ordering. When she went to pick up her dentures, they insisted that she pay another $498 above what the insurance company paid and the $822 that she already paid. She was terribly upset, confused, and felt forced to accept the charge as she needed her dentures and had already paid $822 that she would forfeit if she did not pay the additional amount. When I spoke to them the next day to have them walk me through the charges the office manager Melissa's explanation made no sense and did not match the documents from the insurance company. I told her that I found their practices deceptive and meant to confuse elderly people. I also said if they did not refund her money I was going to help my Mom file a claim in Small Claims Court and let a judge decide. The office manager then committed to refunding the $498 once she received the payment from the insurance company. The refund never arrived and I helped her to call the office manager again and she said that she changed her mind and would not be sending the refund. We just sent a payment demand letter and will be filing a claim in Small Claims Court. Their response to the demand letter was to add an additional $350 charge to her bill! Upon further checking, I found that they are part of a larger network, Affordable Care, LLC and there are remarkably similar cases to what happened to my mother in online public complaints...maybe it's time to look into a class action..
crappy when he found out my insurance he was very unwilling to help it took an ent to contact ohio state pathology for me to diagnose my condition as he was unwilling to contact them or get me an appt told me nothing was wrong and not i find out after a year i do have a health issue with my cheeks no thanks to yong.
I always have a good experience getting my teeth cleaned at this office. Staff is very nice and Dr. Crabtree is very knowledgeable..
Their emergency ph # doesn't even ring, just immediately goes into message that says "voicemail not set up yet". Mercy Urbana has no way to get hold of anyoneone in this practice and obviously medical hospital does not keep a dentist on staff. Hosp ER staff was very nice and did make effort to contact someone at this practice..
I am NOT a dentist person, however, I felt very comfortable with the staff and Dr. Kristopher Doersam. I HIGHLY recommend them!!.
