Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Fiorentino Vincent DDS

This is our first full summer at our lake home (formerly our weekend lake house) and, being so far from our regular dentist (Florida), I KNEW I should find a dentist up here before I had a dental issue come up....but I didn't. This weekend I popped off a crown (yes, checking on a sticky candy) and had to go scrambling looking for a dentist on a Monday morning. One that accepts our insurance (Aetna), was open, and would squeeze in a "new patient". Ended up driving about 45 mins out to the small town of Westernport for Dr. Fiorentino's office. It was worth the drive! The place was nice, his staff was friendly, I didn't have to wait long. But Dr. Fiorentino was awesome! You might think, "Well, he's just cementing a crown back on." And he did that very well; great chair side manner. More importantly, he noticed and expressed his concern about a "bite issue" that he was seeing. I told him that it had been getting worse for the past 6 months. He had me relax my jaw and gently "manipulated" it so my bite was lined up. In our conversation, I brought up that I had stopped wearing my dental night guard at night about 6 months ago, and he said that very well could be causing (or contributing to) the problem. I promised I'd start wearing it again, and this morning my bite alignment is tremendously improved. Called his office this morning and asked his staff to give him my props! In this day, you don't often find a doctor that's willing to take the time to talk to their patient. I'll definitely be going back there for my summer cleaning and dental work! ????.
