I took my daughter for an annual check-up. On the day of the appointment I filled a form with her medical history. That was all I filled in at the time. I did ask my daughter whether I should go in with her and she said no, it is only a check-up. Every other dentist she has been to always comes out and gives me feedback on how things went. No one from this place came & spoke to me even after her treatment. I went to the reception and I was given the invoice ($607.70), with all the work that was carried out on her plus a treatment plan for the next visit ($245.10). All the work carried out on a minor with no consent from the parent. Bad, bad in my opinion and no understanding of the law. Since when is a minor (14 years) able to give consent?. Myself, the parent was sitting in the waiting room while all this work was carried out on. I was presented the consent form & the invoice after all the work was carried out. I would say the reason behind this was I had a Teen Dental Voucher & you all knew that most parents would sign it as they are not of pocket. I went to Green Valley Dental due to pain in a lower molar, and was told that I required root canal treatment. I began this treatment on the same day 2-7-2016, was charged $305.00 and sent home. The pain became worse, so 2 days later I went for a second opinion to another dentist and he x-rayed the tooth and told me that Green valley Dental had missed one of the root canals ( hence the pain if was in). He re-did the procedure and thankfully I was pain free. I called GVD and was told to put my complaint in writing and I did so, I requested my money back on the flawed treatment. The dentist that performed the treatment offered me free completion, that I declined as I had no faith in his services. Since then I have made many phone calls to GVD, I have been told at first that I would receive my money back, and then told that I will not receive my money back due to, the dentist being a contractor and not employed by the surgery. So GVD does not believe that it has any responsibility to me as a patient in their centre. The invoice shows their ABN. Their dental services are extremely poor, and their follow up service equally poor. I mean they won't even take responsibility for what they are meant to provide me with, and that's to offer me proper health care. I an see other complaints here, and wish I would have seen these reviews before I went there myself. They seriously don't care. Do yourself a favour and keep away. Dr kedar kulkarni is the worst dentist i would never recommend him to anyone he doesnt accept responsibility for his mistakes and tries to cover it up by lying on his clinical notes when i tried to resolve the issue that i had with him he spoke to me very rudely! There will definitely be no repeat bussiness from me or anyone i know.
