The Furnari Dining Hall is the best thing here..
I was stationed here as a member of the Air Force Honor Guard for 8 yrs. I've visited about 30 +/- military installations (mainly AF) and this is concise but superb! Yes it's small, and yes there's traffic outside the main gate. But there's plenty to do outside the gate and the Slip Inn is a good time along with having gatherings at the waterfront in general. Try Malmstrom AFB in Montana, where it's cold/gloomy/snowy +/- 8 mos of the yr and nothing much outside of town. Despicable. So Bolling is a dream compared to many. One of the most historical AF Bases too! Most all the Air Force legends came thru there time and time again. I would live there again in a heartbeat..
This is a beautiful base. There is a great thrift store here too..
