I truly cannot say enough about this man. Originally, we got estimates from several Orthodontists. Two were in our insurance plan and were cheaper. Dr. Silvert was not in our insurance plan and was a little higher in cost. But sometimes your gut just tells you who to go with, regardless of what logic tells you. My son, Ian, who was having the braces put on, was the deciding factor and he chose Dr. Silvert. What my son immediately noticed is that Dr. Silvert talked to HIM. He didn't explain things just looking at Mom and Dad, although he definitely included us in the conversation. But he included my 11-yr old on everything from the very beginning. I think it's important to a kid to know that he is being addressed and included in the process. And Dr. Silvert did that from the get-go. He never acted rushed. And I mean NEVER. We've had A LOT of appointments over the last year and a half and this man always took the time to answer any questions we had, or concerns, or whatever came up. He uses a lot of the newest technologies in Orthodontics and while his original projection timeline for the braces was about two years, my son got them off four months early. He had to wear headgear for a few months as he had quite the overbite when we started. His teeth are beautiful now. My (now 13-yr old) son has a beautiful smile with smooth, even teeth and no overbite. They look amazing! He was given invisible retainers (included in the cost) to wear at night. When they are on, you can't even see them. Also, about Dr. Silvert... he's just a really nice guy. Very funny. Very personable. Very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge when you have questions. I can't say it enough.. we are so glad we chose him. About the Staff... nice, nice, nice, nice, nice. Again.. NEVER once did they make us feel like they were too busy or did they rush through any questions or anything I wanted to talk to them about. Even on those super busy days when their phones were ringing like crazy, they always took the time to talk with us about anything we needed. They are thorough in explaining things. They provided us with a well-written contract as to what the price included, if bracket repairs, retainers, etc. were included and the like. We were provided with a payment coupon book as well as payment envelopes for our convenience. Even though my son got his braces off four months early, they were willing to keep the original payment plan in place (although we just paid the remaining balance anyway). The Office.. we used to see them in Winfield, but they recently moved their Winfield Office to Crown Point on Broadway. It's really nice in there. Warm. Inviting. Relaxed. Reflects the style of Dr. Silvert and his staff, I guess. I know I sound like a walking advertisement for this Orthodontic office, but I really can't say enough about this place. We are happy, happy, happy!
