If you're coming in as a high school student or transfer, good luck. If you're looking to know exactly what classes you should be taking, than orientation is rather uninformative. They do not print out the list of classes from their online website, I tried to find it ahead of time but the page was broken so I couldn't print it myself. They just speak out loud of general classes and hope you magically find your way from there on their iSiS program. It's like calling a help center, clicking various buttons and still getting that female robot voice every time, not a real person with the answer you need. I also had questions about my health insurance that even the woman who works with student's health insurance couldn't answer! Did I learn things during orientation? Of course! Like first and foremost, how to pay bills online. Also, how to set up texts for emergency reports, about their sports/social/volunteer programs, where to go and who to call. Those are the basics, most couldn't answer the specific questions I had. The ones they didn't think about ahead of time so they could help me. The only person who answered all of my questions was the Chair of the department, before I even asked. I asked a dozen people before I directly contacted the Chair. If you have questions about your classes just talk to the Chair of (your major) department, because everyone else there doesn't have a clue..
