5My 2006 Ford F350 was acting up for close to a month. The engine would just keep revving up and not shift into third gear under power. A couple weekend mechanic friends said it was "time to rebuild the tranny". After residing myself to the expected probable repair - I contacted Transmission Doctors and took my truck in yesterday for inspection. After a test drive and full diagnostic computer scan by Bob (owner and top mechanic) it was determined that my transmission was more than likely A-OK. He felt that the root of the problem was probably a fuel issue. He suggested I change my fuel filters (he had the capability to do so - but so did I). Today - with the filters changed (the old ones were awful! - I had gotten some bad diesel!) my truck was running fantastic. It was shifting properly and running great. Bob's disgnosis was right on. Thanks to Bob for his help and accurate diagnostics. It was greatly appreciated. I wonder if other shops would have diagnosed the problem and then "fixed" my transmission for me? I would highly recommend this shop. Thanks again to Transmission Doctors!
