Bay Area Kids Dentist

I had the worst experience ever at Dr. Radwan's. My daughter is 3 years old and she needed quite a bit of work. I had gone to another dentist and it was going to cost a lot more so I decided to go with Dr. Radwan with the rave reviews that he had. But everything went wrong from beginning to end. Here's the list: 1. first they told me that my old dentist had charged us for an full x-ray which was never done and therefore we didn't have enough on our credit limit of ($3500) to cover the entire procedure. I was furious at our old dentist so I called them and asked why they charged us for a service they didn't provide. Turns out, they hadn't. I confirmed with my insurance and the girl at the front desk basically gave me the wrong info. It took me an hour on the phone to figure this out. I thought ok, one mistake is fine. so I still decided to stay with them. When I told Dr. Radwan's office of how they gave me the wrong info, the actual girl who told me this did NOT apologize in any manner and insisted that the insurance company gave her this info. RUDE. But I thought ok, it's a small mistake I'll let it slide once. 2. Dr. Radwan is super cocky. During the procedure, he would just come out all of the sudden and say something like " we just need to pull this tooth out". He didn't ask if we were ok with it, if that's what we wanted to do he just said it like "I know best and I'm going to do it". So we felt a little out of the loop and we knew why it needed to be done but it was super abrupt and didn't give us any time to think about it. 3. Then after the procedure, a week or so later, her silver crown FALLS out while she's eating her lunch! I go back to get it fixed by another dentist at THEIR office and crowns aren't supposed to just FALL out. She said that she's never actually seen it happen and neither have it. My daughter could have choked on it! I was so angry by then. AND when I asked them if they were going to charge me for fixing the problem they said " you can just go" like they WERE going to charge me but decided that they shouldn't. 4. Then at the day of the surgery AFTER my daughter was already under and going through procedures, they tell us that we need to pay $1000 out of pocket b/c it's not being covered by insurance. We have AMAZING insurance that pays 100%. Since they can't let her go without us paying in full we paid another $1161. 5. Now I'm finding out through my insurance that everything should have been covered and that maybe I wasn't supposed to pay the $1161 out of pocket!!! They gave me false information, charged us extra, and messed up on the actual dental work that was supposed to be done. Everything was a disaster and I don't recommend this place to anyone. I have never written a review before but I thought mom's really needed to know before they take their kids in!

Been going to Dr. Langenbach ever since his arrival in Poway, CA. Throughout the years he took excellent care of my dental needs. Addressed potential problems before they became an issue. He is well versed in the latest dental technologies and is an expert while using the CRC computer.
