WORST DENTAL OFFICE EVER. So this is going to be long. 1st RED flag. I got 3 appointments scheduled with only 3 days notice. I wondered how a dentist had so much availability. (Now I know) 2nd RED flag. We get cleanings every 6 months and brush 2x a day. They tell me my son has 10+ cavities! 7! And has had multiple fillings before which he hadn't had any. Really weird. Come to call our previous dentist and he did tell me that he had some baby surface ones prior that he touched up during the cleaning. 3rd RED flag. I put my trust into this dentist and these professionals and scheduled the appointments for the "fillings". When we arrived the dentist was saying how tired he was and wanted to be at home napping. That did not make me or my son feel comfortable. I blocked out 2 hour to be here waiting. After 20 MINUTES my son comes out and says he is done. The receptionist hands me a bill for $945!!!!!! 4th and final completion to this horrible rip off of a place. I asked her for clarif.
Loved Betsy and Dr. hank.
Caring, knowledgeable, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dental perfectionist who takes immense pride in his work.
Great experience at Dr.Bishop's. I was worked in on an emergency basis. Very professional and personal staff. Quality of care was excellent. Would highly recommend High Country Dental if you are looking for a careing dental office..
BEWARE unless you have more money than sense! So, I went to see Jim... standard insurance covered stuff... a cleaning and checkup. The whole time he and the hygienist were trying to UPSALE me on unnecessary garbage, i.e. DNA test to help with finding genetical dispositions, UV cleaning, etc! BTW, these are NOT covered by insurance! The entire time Jim kept bragging about how smart he was, the car he drives and get this... this is great... they're not the cheapest dental facility in town for a reason! Yea, he boasted about it! Well, the bill finally came. Jim was right. He is not the cheapest in town... he is THE most expensive in Colorado, period! Insurance paid my claim AFTER I had submitted me info to his secretary three times!!!! Oh, the bill? $320. Really? This must be a joke! I call my insurance company after he threatened to send me to claims... after all, I'm not going to pay $320 for what normally is less than one-third that amount for the same services. My insurance company had to call his office to pay for the services... remember I submitted said info three times already... and reimbursed him for said services at the normal rate. Now guess what... he is balance-billing me for the rest of the $320 bill. Around $240+!!!!!!! Again, REALLY? I got a nice brushing of my teeth and two hours of bragging, boasting and upsalesmanship! Arrogant jerk... that's exactly what he is. His secretary, Amanda, incompetent..
The service here is top notch. They do go above an beyond your standard practice dentistry and like most things that are above and beyond, the cost does exceed what many lower level dental insurance packages cover. All of their facilities are clean and very inviting. Wendy and Jim know everyone that comes through the door and they do explain where extra costs may fall to insure you keep your mouth in tip top shape. Insurance does tend to take longer to pay at this office but it usually all works out in the end and ends up costing exactly what they tell you, if you ask. I would highly recommend them..
