1Reported to the BBB for deceitful business practices. I went to this dentist twice. After a mix up with insurance the first time around, I handed the front desk worker my CareFirst insurance card. She said that it was fine and they accept that insurance. I get a bill later for over $600 for two cleanings and an X-ray. I called in and the front desk worker said that they do not fully accept CareFirst and I have to pay the rest. She denied ever telling me that they accepted it, but found no issue with scanning my card in and not telling me that I will have $600 to pay later.She said Dr. Bowersox would call me back two times but he never did. So, I sent in a check for what CareFirst sent me and wrote “paid in full” on the check. Dr. Bowersox cashed it and then continued to ask for the rest. I have reported them to the BBB for deceitful business practices because they will have no problem taking your insurance while neglecting to tell you that they do not actually accept it.
