How Patients Feel

13When my daughter was 13 months old, she fell and knocked out part of her front tooth. We took her to the dentist for her first visit asap with Dr. Soper. His bedside manner was lacking and he spoke to me in a bit of a condescending manner, but no matter. He says we’ll need to bring her back about once a month for the next few months to monitor the tooth in case it abscesses side that can cause damage to her adult tooth. On the second follow up, he informs me that he’ll need to pull her tooth. When we arrived at the office for the procedure I was told that I wasn’t allowed to go back with my at that point FIFTEEN MONTH DAUGHTER. I paced in the lobby while I could hear my baby screaming in the room; I begged to go back there with her and the receptionist told me absolutely not and to go outside if I couldn’t handle it. There’s no way they should be treating children; I don’t even think he likes them. After switching dentists, I now see what a good pediatric dentist is like.
