Only years later did I realize how awful (and IMHO malpracticing) this orthodontist is. I had braces from 2nd grade until Junior year of highschool (~10 years), at which point I made them remove it. Despite a decade of treatment, I have a bite issue that should have been corrected with orthodontics. My dentist actually said ,"Well sometimes these small-town orthodontist aren't up to date on the best treatment protocols." I had to inform him that this was Phoenix, Arizona!! Not a small town, just incompetence.
