Don't we all dread the words, "You need a root canal"?! Well, consider yourself fortunate if Dr Lee comes to your rescue. Like many of you, I dreaded the procedure (due to some unfortunate dental history), but I finally braced myself and made the appointment. From the initial phone calls and through the waiting room experience, the office staff was very considerate. They take the trouble to call you and let you know if the dentist is running late. Mari (the receptionist) is very courteous. And when I saw a lady expressing genuine gratitude on her way out, I knew I was in good hands. I only waited for a few minutes (in my previous experience with other dentists I was sometimes left to wait for up to an hour!). Then Emily (Dr Lee's assistant) ushered me in, and when Dr Lee's walked in, the room was lit with her warm and humble persona (she even offered to hang up my jacket) in contrast with some of the arrogant doctors I've met in the past. She thoroughly examined my tooth, and proceeded to numb it. I should mention that this is generally the most painful part for me, so I naturally tensed up...which is why I was delighted when I discovered her feather like touch and fine precision - it was swift, effective, and most importantly painless!!! It is rare nowadays to find a dentist who's willing to take the time and effort to do it right! As she dug deeper and more numbing was needed, she skillfully inserted just the right amount of medicine in the right spot as close to painlessly as can be. Her assistant Emily who worked by her side on my first appointment was a perfect match, gentle and competent. My tooth was treated with antibiotics for an entire week before completing treatment. Dr Lee was professional, and her impeccable attention to detail came handy when she discovered that I had a microscopic double canal in one of the roots, and treated the second canal. She was exceptionally devoted to quality, a rarity in this field, where quality is too often sacrificed on the altar of speed. Dr. Lee was wonderful -- delicate, smooth, diligent, meticulous, conscientious and professional :)
