About Dr. George Strickland, DDS
Professional Statement
DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery)Dr. Strickland has been practicing dental medicine in Florida since 1991 with one goal in mind: To provide the most professional and caring general, implant, and cosmetic dental care to patients of all ages who call his caring, comfortable, and conveniently located Sarasota area office their dental home.
To this end, Dr. Strickland has undergone hundreds of hours of advanced clinical courses after receiving his doctor of dental surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1990.
Dr. Strickland’s additional education includes a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida, graduate studies in biochemistry at City College of New York, and his general practice residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York from 1990-1991.

Educator and Charitable Contributor
Dr. Strickland devotes his free time working as a mentor and clinical instructor with several post-doctorate institutes where he has trained countless dentists on dental topics ranging from pediatric dentistry to periodontics treatment.
Because Dr. Strickland also knows the importance of helping those who are less fortunate, he is involved in numerous charitable programs. Some of his accomplishments include creating a campaign called Brush the World to ship new, donated toothbrushes to marginalized populations around the globe. He has also participated in the Esperanza Humanitarian Mission to the Dominican Republic, as well as Gifts from God Charitable Dental Services for the Homeless.
