I've been waiting two months to get a molar cavity filled and a permanent crown for a root canal. I told Dr. Zevallos that those two teeth are causing me pain. He proceeded to do the second of four scheduled "deep cleanings", and then cancelled my remaining appointments without explanation..
not a professional dr his stuff took twenty X-ray one time & all his charge&treatment was not done properly do not recommend him.
"You are playing Russian roulette with this impaired dentist. Need to check out all of his reviews prior to patronizing his office. My father was a dentist; I know the minimum standard of care. Marcum's treatment of me resulted in ongoing pain, infection, bone loss and the eventual loss of the tooth. This was a routine root canal. His demeanor was angry. His treatment was brutal; there is no other way to describe it. He jammed the splint used to prop the mouth open, with the heel of his hand repeatedly. That only added to the pain that felt like having a root canal done without any anesthesia. I would cry; he told me that if I cried, he would send me away. I knew the nerve was exposed or I would have gotten out of that chair and run. I was trapped. There was no attempt at alleviating pain, only causing more. His staff stood by, mocking me. When it was over, I was still in intense pain until I went to the ER the next morning. When I went to another dentist, she immediately acknowledged that I'd been traumatized. I went to another endodontist who volunteered that the evidence pointed to iatrogenic or physician caused harm. He wrote a letter detailing infection and bone loss and had to extract the tooth. I have since been diagnosed with PTSD and have flashbacks whenever I am in a dental chair even for a simple procedure. He also violated my privacy, contacting a colleague of mine at my place of employment. How this man has not been censured is a mystery to me. ".
Short version: Come here if you like waiting and then like being tortured. If there was a way to give this place negative stars I would.Worst experience I have ever had going to a dental office. It took two and a half hours to be seen. When I asked them why they said "They had to remove all of another patients teeth." My appointment was at 10 a.m. I got out around 1:15 p.m. It gets worse from here though. They did not have my patient records from my previous dentist because I was a new patient and just coming in for a cleaning. They did X-rays as well, but the x-ray machine is shared between you and the patient in the next booth. You don't get a room it's a both with a wall and an x-ray machine in a cabinet that they move between two booths. They did not show me my x-rays like previous dentists I have been to. Instead they told me my crown was a filling and not a crown and that I never had a crown and they wanted to put in a crown for like $770. I had a crown put in by my previous dentist on a separate appointment after a root canal. He even showed me the milling machine as it was making my crown because my previous dentist is a family friend and liked to show me the new equipment he was getting for his office. So when this dentist insisted on that nothing she said added up and she looked fairly incompetent. BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE!Here came the cleaning, and oh my God that was the most painful cleaning I have ever had in my life. She used a drill brush below my gumline(all of the other dentists previously used a hook to remove hard plaque it was uncomfortable but not painful). It is for above the gumline because it is incredibly painful in sensitive areas, but I guess she just wanted me out of there quickly. It was so painful I don't think she treated me like I was a human being instead like I was some animal she was preparing to butcher. My gums after the appointment were bleeding and bruised. I was told that I had two cavities on the top row of my teeth. She could not say which tooth. That did not make any sense either. They do not respect their patients or listen to them. If the crown and the fillings were concerns she should have asked me to forward information from my previous dentist instead of asking me to schedule appointments with CaliDental..
Upon walking in , the receptionist seemed unapproachable and said “sit down we will get to you in a bit”. However, the dentist who worked with me and her assistant were very lovely and helpful.
