As a 63-year old male, I have had a lot of experience with dentists over my lifetime, but without hesitation, I would have to say that Dr. Shiba is the BEST dentist I have ever encountered. She has the latest equipment and takes the time to explain what she sees and why she recommendations certain procedures. I like the fact that she not only looks at your current dental situation, but also alerts you to other potential problems. I guess the thing that I can say that might convince you what a good dentist she is, is that she is the only dentist that convinced me of the benefits of flossing, something I had done only infrequently because my previous dentists and dental hygienists always told me how little plaque I had and how healthy my gums were. While they may have been correct, I now understand how flossing can improve my dental health. Also, Melissa works with your dental insurance to ensure that you maximize your coverage, and Dr. Shiba's assistant, Ray, is great.
