I am covered by covered California with Medi-Cal. So with this said, I called to schedule a general cleaning assuming that since i'm under Medi-cal, i'll be able to see this dentist because they were listed under providers that accept new patients for medi-cal/denti-cal. So when I called, I mentioned that I am under Medi-cal and need a general cleaning. The representative asked me my age. I was hesitant but gave her my age (30). Then she tells me they do not see anyone over the age of 21. So I asked her, then why was my husband able to call, get scheduled to be seen when he's 4 years older than me? She then said that they stopped seeing anyone over 21 because they are limited to procedures being done to only cleaning. I told her that was my main reason for visit, just a cleaning. Then she proceeded to ask my husband's information. I just hung up. I did not want to deal with this. It sounds like they want more money vs the health of their patients. Sorry but I want to spread the word that they do not take patients 21 or Older who are covered under medi-cal. Dont waste your time!!
