My family dentist recommended this place. Now I question my family dentist judgment. These people are supposed specialist in dealing with children. You decide with what I am now going to share. My child's visit started out feeling uncomfortable since it was my child's first time. They needed to take X-rays of my child's teeth. The Xray machine is tucked away in a very enclosed setting. The lady taking the X-ray speaks very poor english, it was difficult for me to understand her so my child must have had a more difficult time. The dentist comes to take a look at my child and his way of trying to make my child feel comfortable and relaxed to see my child's teeth is to use scare tactics and intimidation. Telling me he cant spend a lot of time trying to look at my child's teeth. And that since my child is not cooperating they will need to fully put her under for $1000 not including the dental work. In the end they take my child through a room where multiple people are laying on tables having there teeth done like some sort of factory warehouse setting, and into a back room where they strap my child down completely to take X rays. My child comes out crying. We have not been back. Instead I have taken my child to Kidz Care where they are very child orientated. The entire setting was kid friendly. Everyone there was very greeting and friendly to my child and talk directly to my child building a relationship of trust from the start. Then when we go back to get looked at, the room is painted kid friendly and has kid entertainment to keep the kids mind off things and to entertain them. The Xray at Kidz Care was top notch with the use of a hand held system and use of digital capture. My child breezed right trough it. It was amazing how my child went from zero cooperation and being scared at the first place 11616 Iberia pl Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic Specialists, to complete cooperation and walking out smiling with plans to have dental work performed un-sedated at Kidz Care in Escondido. As a Father My Anxiety and Stress Level went from very High to Extremely Low Instantly, it was a 1000% Improvement.
