I have a lot of dentist anxiety and was very nervous about having two cavities filled. I told the dental hygienist who was kind and reassuring that I would feel \"no pain\" yet didn\'t do much to accommodate my anxiety when I asked her about nitrous or other forms of anxiety relief. She stated that the room where nitrous was available was \"busy\" and it would cost \"$175 extra\" anyway. They gave me numbing gel and several shots of Novocain but the drilling was still very painful for my two molar fillings. Rather than try to accommodate me, they said, \"you\'ll just have to go to someone who can sedate you\" and dismissed me with a name and number on a post it note. I felt like it was my fault that I was having pain on top of anxiety from the filling. She was behind (I had to wait 30 minutes despite being on time) so maybe that\'s why. I would not recommend her if you want a caring and gentle dentist. Lots of other dentists in Athens to choose from. I\'d steer clear of Dr. Bennett.
