Everything was fine until I let Dr Modrell redo an old filling .... it was painful from start to finish and I\'ll need another dentist to try to remedy the situation as I still have sensitivity. Dr Modrell doesn\'t do complex procedures in any event, so be prepared to be referred if you need anything out of the ordinary. Her office proceeded to charge hundreds of dollars on top of insurance. When I complained to the office staff, they were way too polished in dealing with this sort of complaint, like it happens all the time. UCSF dental school lost a bit of credibility with me... I feel they train dentists to treat patients like cattle, no accountability to the patient, any dentist within the practice can treat any patient, and referrals / dentist schedule changes are all too frequent.
