My 85 year old mother recently went to STEWARD Holy Family ER for flu like symptoms, which we arrived around 9 AM, she was taken in right away and was first seen by a NP Mgr because she needed to be seen and they were very busy (which we appreciated) but CARE from there went downhill. The Physican Asst came right in and determined to admit her, where she then laid on an ER gurney (very uncomfortable) until 9 PM AT NIGHT waiting for bed as my mother was told her bed was given away. She had NO PILLOW, evening shift nurse(older) never came in room to check on her, I had to request her to look into why she hasn't been moved. She had an automatic BP cuff on her that was to automatically blow up and check her BP, she said it never worked and when I was there it never blew up. This department could have brought in a REGULAR HOSPITAL BED AND PILLOW!! for this 85 year old who was ill and that never happened. I will never go to this hospital again. Shame on Steward for such poor care regarding her age, she was very uncomfortable..
