How Patients Feel

3I made an appointment for a routine exam and cleaning, which usually takes about 20 minutes. I was out of the office 2 hours later. The doctor overbooks. The waiting area had 25+ chairs, all of which were covered in plastic and were very uncomfortable. The office felt like a freezer - VERY cold. I asked that the temperature in the office be raised. They would not change the temperature - instead they gave me a blanket. The forms that I filled out, signed and initialed were meant to protect the doctor from lawsuits. I had to ask three times for copies, and finally when I left, I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to photocopy the forms. I had my teeth x-rayed and when I saw the x-rays I told the doctor that they were extremely unclear. He asked if I was a doctor or a dentist (the implication being that since I am neither, my opinion is irrelevant). I had to ask the nurse to clean one of the instruments, which was dirty. Not enough room to list all of the shortcomings that I observed.
