While under Dr. Spears\' treatment, I turned 18 and was legally capable of making decisions about my own treatment. However, instead of consulting me about my treatment, she instead chose to contact my parents. She then made the decision about how to proceed with my treatment with my parents, without allowing me any input. I find this to be a gross and reckless disregard for my confidentiality, as she contacted my parents without my consent, oral or written.
