My experience with Dr. Mayeux was one of caring, compassion, understanding and heartfelt empathy. He was truly a God-send on that day. For all of the critical comments about the Alex VA, our experience was outstanding. He and his assistant Lori are a well oiled team. I was truly blessed that I crossed their path that day. It was an experience that will never be forgotten..

I wound up paying more that I was told for a root canal that was extremely painful, ended up with 3 shots in my mouth for one tooth. Dr. Tarek A. Hamid should have gotten it right the first time, after my procedure I was looking at some of the equipment being used and it was filthy, most likely from another persons mouth. I ended up sick in the hospital 2 times with Clostridium difficile (klos-TRID-e-uhm dif-uh-SEEL), often called C. difficile or C. diff, it is a bacterium that can cause symptoms ranging from diarrhea to life-threatening inflammation of the colon. Illness from C. difficile most commonly occurs after use of antibiotic medications. I was unfortunate to have had the severe symptoms C. difficile. On top of that after the doctor was done he would just leave the room without saying anything, horrible communication skills. Was my family dentist until I had an emergency with one of my children.. had 3 teeth knocked into her mouth in an accident on the playground at school. Called for an emergency appointment and was told I had to pay $100 cash out of pocket for my 6 year old to even be seen without an appointment . Never again will I take my family to this dentist. Only gave a star so I could post my review. HORRIBLE!!!!!.
