The dentist wanted to do many procedures which would have cost about $23,000 dollars. I disapproved of almost all the procedures explaining since I am retired I could not afford his recommendations. I requested to repair the cavities only. He did not like my suggestions and later became agitated. He proceeded to list all the procedures and requested that I sign the document saying that I was denying his recommendations. I have Xerostomia, which causes the rapid formation of cavities. I wanted his help with this problem. It includes medications, applying sealants, etc. on the teeth to slow down the formation of the cavities. I realized that this dentist did not have sufficient expertise with Xerostomia.
