Dr. Gregory Young from Oakland/Oakland Hills area, was my very first dentist. And I'm not trying to be uber proud of the fact that this was true at the age of 24, KIDS FLOSS AND BRUSH YOUR TEETH as your Dentist advises ;) But seriously, I was terrified - why, I'm not completely sure.... Dr. Young listened to my whole life story (yes it took more than one visit to get him all the details, but he listened. He listened to every detail, remembered every detail and on my next visit, quizzed me and asked where I had travelled to or what I had done in the 2 week or whatever follow up date it was since he had seen me last. AND, during all that, he had my mouth properly numbed without any initial pain - not even the first dose of Novocain, or whatever product was administered. He and his assistants from the 2000+ era, have my whole-hearted appreciation and admiration for the way they handled every aspect of my beginning livelihood in the dentistry realm as a patient. ;) Gregory, I miss our chats and hearing all about your children and 2nd life as a Firefighter! Dr. Ghassemi is very professional, courteous and gracious. He took his time and is highly skilled in administering injectable anesthetics without causing pain -- I barely felt the needle. He was aware of my body language and inquired when he thought I might be in pain. Even thought I was booked at the end of the day, after the regular appointment hours, Dr. Ghassemi waited for the dental assistant to complete her work on my temporary crown so he could have an introductory conversation with me..
He was an excellent clinician and diagnosed my problem right after he performed his examination. My previous dentist performed lot of poor crowns and they were over contoured and open so bacteria would get in there. I had Dr Ghassemi redo some of them and I got a second opinion from another dentist in the City and found out that Dr Ghassemi performed excellent work on my teeth. I highly recommend him to all my friends and family..
Def meet all my expectations from the front desk to the back end ! They are clean, patient , educated in the dental area , Dr.Joyce WOW simply amazing !.
