I was not notified of the significant rate increase or the change in how payment is collected. I paid $312 up front when I was only expecting to pay $30. Out of pocket I'm still paying close to $200. The services I have received are not good enough to warrant these prices. What frustrated me the most was not being notified before I had the service done. They claimed to have emailed me in January but there is no record of an email. I spoke with another coworker who also sees this dentist, and she was only notified in person at her last visit - neither of us got an email or letter like they claimed. I was only notified after the visit when it was time to pay. While I respect a business's need to increase costs, they need to be transparent about any significant increase and give their clients prior notice. This was shady at best. And if they do it once, they will do it again..
Both my girls have been patients since early elementary . I have nothing but amazing things to say about both Dr . Bar-Zion and Dr Sahar. The entire experience from walking in and being greeted by the front office reception with all their smiles to the hygienists who always makes a connection with my girls and make them feel special. Recently my 18yr got clapped out and she has moved to adult dentistry. Sad day that was but have been very grateful for the journey at Dr. Bar-Zions office over the past many year's. I whole heartily believe they are the best pediatric dentist around..
After using my teeth for 65 years, they needed serious repair. With a combination of orthodonture, some crowns, and other repairs, my teeth are now in sound condition. Good for another 30 years (expecting to do some maintenance in addition to cleanings). The orthodonture required braces. This work began in late 2018 and continued into the beginning of 2020. The method Dr. Chaffe uses to prepare for any grinding or drilling resulted in ZERO pain. This included preparation before injecting pain killers. When the injecting syringe went in, I never felt it. Cost was reasonable, I did not expect it to be cheap and it was not too expensive. The roots of the teeth are sound; therefore, implants would not have been better and would not have been less expensive. I was certain to ask. The safety measures due to the need to protect from Corona COVID-19 are excellent. The setting is congenial, definitely not a factory. Dr. Chaffee and Paraiso Family Dental & Orthodontics was recommended.
He wanted to charge me $495.00 above what my insurance would cover for a crown. My old dentist and two others accepted what my insurance would cover so to me he is charging more than he should. He isn't $495.00 better a visit than any of the other Doctors I've used. At a bare minimum let the patient know ahead of time not at the time of the appointment that you want more money for a procedure so I can decide to make that appointment or not..
