Dr. Catrise Austin is running on unethical business practices. I went to her to get veneers and all of them fell out multiple times, and is still falling out to this day. It first started to fall out within just ONE MONTH of getting them put on and continued for 2 years now. It will continue on like this. Veneers shouldn't be falling out that quick and often. Once or twice a year I would understand. She let me know my first visit that my teeth are very healthy and I had never gotten veneers or anything done prior. There should be no reason my veneers would be falling out so often if they were done correctly. Beware that when your veneers fall out, she's not going to be there for you because she doesn't have a permanent staff/office. She works out of her suitcase, rents out other dentists' offices, and hires a dental assistant for your appointment sometimes, or she'll do it all by herself. You'll have to wait until she gets back from vacation every time you have a problem so think about it. If your veneer pops off you'll be looking crazy until she comes back which is usually 2+ weeks or you have to pay your own money to get it reattached by another dentist. It adds up especially because of how often the veneers fall out. The final straw was my latest appointment with her. She had hired a new dental assistant for that day who was present throughout the appointment. Before Dr. Austin started to reattach the veneer I mentioned how many times the veneers have been falling out and that I'm tired of it. Dr. Austin then let me know that she would pay for any future dental visits with other dentists whenever the veneers pop off until the warranty ends, so I agreed and told her she should put it in writing. She also agreed saying it's a waste of her time to see me because of the veneers falling out so often and said she would send a document with it all in writing the following week. Then she proceeds to reattach my veneer but when I get home I realize that my tooth is sensitive and in pain. I checked to see what was going on, she had shaved down the veneer and my actual tooth so much that it looked like I had a chipped tooth. A simple reattachment does not require shaving down the veneer/tooth itself. A whole month goes by of me having to chase her down asking where the agreement was and to give me a refund for the veneer. She finally sends it and the conditions in the document are totally different from what we discussed at the appointment. It doesn't include anything about her paying for the cost of other dentists reattaching my veneer which she offered. The document says she'll give me a $2,000 refund for the veneer but also throws in a bunch of other things to cover herself legally. I told her to just give me the refund and she keeps saying she won't until I sign it. I said I won't sign it because the whole point of the document was for her to include that she will pay for all future dentist appointments if/when the veneer falls off again. She won't respond to me and then says the same thing over and over again about how she won't give me a refund until I sign the document. I keep refusing and telling her to send over the refund and now she let me know that she has blocked me. This is by far the craziest experience with a dentist I've ever had. Save your money and honestly your mental health. She's super nice in the beginning then leaves you cold when she causes you real problems down the line.
