I had a root canal on an abcessed tooth. Ten days on penicillin and the pain and swelling was unbearable. I called answer service and many hours later my call was returned. I requested a second line broad spectrum antibiotic, clindamycin. I was refused because he doesn\'t believe in this due to the possibility of colitis. We were cut off and when I returned his call would not answer his phone.The next day and a copay later, I received the proper antibiotic from my MD? review resistant abt.tx.doc!
