I had a root canal done by Dr. Devito. 2-3 years later I experienced pain in the same tooth. I went to my current dentist and he showed me X-rays of the tooth and said it appeared that part of the root was still in the tooth and the canal was not fully filled like it should have been and another root canal had to be done. Upon performing the new root canal, my dentist found a broken drill bit left behind by Devito that was about 3/4 long.
