I'm blown away I'm only the 3rd review on Google for Scharfenberg. Out of all the dentists I've been to while living in Chicago, at college and here in the burbs, Scharfenberg blows all of them away! I never knew such a dentist could exist. To give you some idea, my anxiety is at a 10 with dentists. I found Scharfenberg when I had a nagging tooth ache and something had to be done immediately. From setting the appointment, to meeting the Dr., to getting the procedure done.....I've never felt more at ease sitting in a dentist's chair. I shared with them about my anxiety and they couldn't have been more understanding about my situation and sensitive to it. I had my tooth pulled....there was really no other choice in my book.....and for a guy like me to even think about having this done is terrifying. Well, it was always terrifying...but the staff and Dr. Scharfenberg reassured me all would be fine and gave me a sense of calm. No pain during, no pain afterwards, no issues....which just simply states these guys are GREAT! I've had cavities filled that made me want to jump through the ceiling with past guys. This was an extraction....and it was done before I knew it. If you have any anxiety about the dentist.....I get it....and so do these guys. They have the touch in making you feel perfectly normal even though you are nervous. Plus, Dr. Scharfenberg, and the entire staff are simply good-hearted people with a great sense of humor. (never thought I would say that about dentists). All in all...THE BEST!! .
I had an amazing experience here!! All of the staff are very friendly, remember you by name, and do everything possible to make you comfortable. Dr. Carly is very thorough and very nice. The dental hygienist uses warm water and even puts vaseline on your lips so they don't get dry when getting your teeth cleaned! I will be bringing all of my family here. Highly recommended!!!!.
