Had a great experience... at first. Had my teeth cleaned and inspected. She identified a failed crown, sent me to an endodontist. Dr. Simonson removed the old crown and ordered a root canal rework. Dr. Simonson volunteered to to the crown work, after the re-worked root canal was competed by the endodontist. This wasn't covered by my insurance and cost me 3200$ between Simonson and the endodontist. Several months later, Simonson's office started emailing me to tell me it was time for my next cleaning. I scheduled a cleaning, and when I showed up, she refused to clean my teeth and tried to pawn me off on the U of M dentistry school. Completely unacceptable. I handed her thousands of dollars only to be turned away for a routine cleaning, a few months later. I really think it came down to her not wanting to be bothered. Perhaps her practice should be located in Eden Prairie then, rather than Columbia Heights, if she wants to pick and choose. To make things worse, Dr. Simonson's crown is failing (I suspect bad cording), not even 1.5 years later, and I am facing another infection of the same molar. I will probably just have the tooth pulled, rather than dump more money into it. Thanks a million, Alexis.
