1Dr. Sabin makes the atmosphere very comfortable. He is a funny man. My family and I have been with him for several years. He tries to keep you relaxed and has a WONDERFUL staff. However, you may be paying a little more out of the pocket with him. There are more reasonable priced dentists. That is my only complaint.

5I've been going to HDC for several years. I'm an RN, and I've always been into health and chronic illness prevention. I was getting colds too often, and asthmatic bronchitis once or twice a year. As a nurse, you cannot afford to be ill/sick if you have to work with ill patients. So in 2002, I decided not to get ill anymore. I went organic as much as I could, and decided to get rid of my amalgam (mercury) fillings as part of my detox for life program. At the time, I only found one dentist far out west who could remove my amalgam, and replace it with composits. I got one tooth done... it was so expensive. So the plan was to do them over a span of months in order to affort all the work to be done. I persisted in my research, and found HDC which was closeby! The amalgam removal came-out to be less expensive overall because they had a different way of charging for the mercury vapor vacuum. Care Credit financing is wonderful...I was able to afford to get rid of my amalgam expeditiously. No interest for one year. -The work may be expensive, but I see it this way...it's like comparing organic with conventional food. You are paying for the way things should be done. You are paying for the latest in health-promoting treatments, services, and materials. Do your research. Try to find another dentist who does alternative care. If you find one, you owe it to yourself to make your pro and con list. I can add: - I liked that the staff is of diverse cultures/ races. - The staff is friendly, they greet you by name. - I got treated by an expert everytime I got my teeth extracted...good outcomes. - Zircomium implants! No metal! Three months to heal from the extraction, 3 months for the implant to "take" (make sure it's a strong ossification), and finally the crown. It was worth it. (Thank you, Care Credit!) - They send postcards, make courtesy calls, and text you to remind you of your appointments. Well, I tend to be forgetfull about appointments, so I like that. - I was impressed that the manager is the dentist's wife, and she is a great manager. Together they balance a profitable business and competitive service. I find that the attitude of any staff trickles down from the leadership. He demands excellence, and she sweetly commands a professional attutude towards the clients. -Remember that no-one is perfect, and maybe you may catch staff on a bad day. Maybe the day was hectic, and they were on "work" mode. It takes a lot of energy to be pleasant all the time. -They HAVE to tell you what needs to be done, but you have the right to decline treatment. I've declined /postponed treatment several times. (And yes, they may become disappointed.) You have to educate yourself about your own condition, and know what you really want in order to communicate your wishes. There is always time. They will respect your wishes, but don't blame them for bringing-up a past rejection. That's a businessperson who's looking after you wellbeing. -They want you to be happy and satisfied with your procedure, so if you are not satisfied, don't be affraid to let them know! I'm sure something can be arranged. -Dr G tends to come-out as a stern man, but that's because he demands excellence. He has a desire to provide that rare alternative healthcare dentistry, but you have to remember that it's a business, and unfortunately, dentistry tends to be expensive, especially if it's "organic", so to speak. - I choose to spend money on my and mine's health, with moderation.
