Dr Blethen (Endodontist) and her assistant do satellite office appointments where she does the root canals when needed in coordination with my Dentist who does the crown. After having a crown from some old past dental work pop-off my dentist did an exam and some x-rays and made the judgement that I would need a root canal. My dentist put on a temp crown and helped me schedule an appointment with Dr Blethen. On the day of my appointment with Dr Blethen (my first time meeting her). We have a conversation about my tooth, and she proceeds to do a very thorough exam with some temperature tests and more plus more additional x-rays, examines under the temp crown, then discusses it with the dentist. She comes back and explains the results of the tests and the consultation with my dentist and that I don't need the root canal today (Yeah!). Bottom line is she is a specialist who makes her living doing these procedures, but she does not do anything unnecessarily. Very Honest Provider!!!.
Dr. Blethen had to do an emergency root canal on me. She worked me in through her lunch and was extremely accommodating. She tells you exactly what to expect up front and after. Honestly the best root canal of my life. From the moment she sat me in her chair and numbed me...My pain was gone. After 4 months from another dentists NOT listening to me; She fixed me right up and it only took an hour. Very competent and compassionate doctor indeed!!.
Dr. Blethen is very friendly and explains thoroughly what she is doing. She answers your questions clearly and wants to make sure your questions or concerns are answered..
My Seven Star Review… shame they only allow 5. I am writing this critique attempting to express my sincere ‘Thank You’ for the awesome health care Aspen Dental at 56th and Slide, in Lubbock has given me. I entered their practice with my first set of dentures… Hurting and Disappointed, another group had just missed the mark. Aspen, I’m sure, think of their approach as a ‘Team Effort,’ and it is. But, certain individuals have gone out of their way to help me. Huge KUDOS go to Josh Moreland, the Lab Specialist that patiently crafted my new dentures. His meticulous molding, grinding and polishing have delivered the most functional dentures you can imagine. I am more comfortable with them ‘IN than Out.’ Dr. Lauren Fey carefully helped to advise each process step. I am beyond grateful and amazed at the results of their efforts. Also, a special appreciation goes to Dr. Starck, Oral Surgeon. I had lived for years with the pain of failing teeth and infections, and in one painless operation… my past dental disaster was gone. The Implants he installed have been flawless. I AM A HAPPY CAMPER! And, I can eat and live again! Thanks. I am grateful! Jimmy Lane.
