Best Dentist In City - Dr. Kalpana Kaveti, DMD

Dr. Tammy Giannetta, DDS

Just moved to Lockport, IL and after much research I selected Dr. Tammy for our family dentist. I have been to some really good in my lifetime (69 yrs old) and I find she sits at the top of them. She is a true professional dentist who doesn't rush you and explains everything about your teeth. She explains procedures in detail. For the first time, I had my teeth cleaned without pain! As a 36 yr Army officer retiree she treats military retirees top notch. Her office/business is COVID clean and every precaution is taken to ensure your safety. Thank you, Dr Tammy you are the best!.

Lockport Dental Group

I am writing to inform Lockport Dental Group that I will no longer be doing business with them, along with my wife and four children. I had called this afternoon from work (4-25-13) to check on an appointment I believed I had missed (to reschedule) and to set an appointment for my wife only to be abruptly placed on hold for over five minutes. Once the receptionist returned to the phone, I began to explain my needs when she interrupted and ?checked my file, whereupon she stated that I was no longer allowed to ?set an appointment, but rather had to call the ?day of to see ?if the dentist ?would be available. Could you imagine the world, if every medical professional acted this way? I have done business with Lockport dental six times, they were paid six times, and were about to gain at least three to four more visits (from me alone) before the offensive receptionist barked the ultimatum at me (a paying customer.) And based on current dental ADA codes, filed to insurance companies, on a national composite-financial scale, for services rendered, that?s a lot of money lost due to poor hiring practices in choosing receptionists. Additionally, she had stated that this directive came from Dr. Jim Gerhard, which is further supported by Lockport Dental. Well as a customer first, and a patient (far-distant second) I am extremely disappointed that so-called professionals would deal in such absolutes, which contradicts patient care expectations that are deserving to the folks that purchased your services. Who do you think you all are? My wife, for instance had been a patient there for over two decades (her family longer than that,) and our children since they all grew teeth. You lost a lot of business, because of ultimatums and a crappy ?phone-girl. I will pass this onto as many family members, friends, and individuals to educate them on the poor customer service relationships in hopes they stop coming to Lockport Dental. In this day and age, among a poor economy, and even recognizing that Obama-Care has largely ignored dental converge, I would think that your little group of ?professionals at Lockport Dental Group, would be more aware of the dangers of offending clients.
