I went to Amber Dental for new dentures and found the staff and Dr. Yamashita to be very friendly, however there is a distinct communication disconnect between the Dr. and his denturist; it took over 5 months and multiple re-do\'s (including a two week vacation for the denturist) to get a set that to this day I have problems wearing for more that a couple of hours before I must remove them. Midway through the process I pointed out to the Dr. that the upper teeth were too long while the lowers were twice the thickness (measured by a precision caliper) than the old ones. While the doctor did try to correct them, he resorted to re-lining the lowers (with my insistence) using a system used in a remote 3rd world process that ultimately chemically burned my lower gums. It took a week before I could wear them and still had to make my own adjustments in order to eat soft foods (no meats/nuts/etc). I am a retired 72 year old male, that was & still am underweight due to this debacle.
