I will try to be as thorough as possible with this review to help whoever is reading this be informed and make the best decisions. My experience with the front lady was the same as the other review on Google Maps by Jae Park. In short, Dr. Kim is professional, apt, and courteous. However his employee (front office manager, black lady, chubby, medium length black hair in a ponytail) proved to be incompetent, unprofessional, and vindictive. She changed my appt time without my consent, only a day in advance. She tried to bill me for a $900 procedure instead of the $60 procedure I agreed to the week prior (incompetent). She lied saying payment was due now, when the paperwork clearly says I have 30 days. She also lied to Dr. Kim telling him I didn't want to pay (unprofessional). And last but not least, she canceled my account (or said she was cancelling my patient account), without my consent (vindictive). Her assistant said her name was "T.Y."... apparently she doesn't want you knowing her name. So now I'll dive into the details. Here is some background on me to give you context. I'm a happily married man of 7 years, have a beautiful and smart wife, no kids yet, in business for myself now for 11 years now. I called Las Vegas area dental offices to find an honest, technologically advanced office that would take care of a crown that came off. I spoke to this office on the phone and it initially sounded promising. So I scheduled an appointment (Oct 12, 2020). No issues with "T.Y." at first, other than her making my wife wait in the car (covid rules.. legit, ok). I see Dr Kim and his back office assistants... all great, no complaints. Dr Kim advises a full permanent crown replacement, but I choose the less expensive (shorter term) route of just doing a recement - much cheaper than a permanent crown replacement. (My insurance wouldn't cover it until next year). Dr Kim does what any other business man would do.. try to UPSELL you into getting something you might not need, especially if you already take extra care of your teeth. But his upsell approach was professional, not rude or belittling, so no issues there. So I decide to hold off on any procedure for now, and I go to the back window of the front office, where T.Y. is, to settle my balance. She explains my insurance covered the visit, and I didn't owe anything (they get this info upfront to make sure you have good insurance before even seeing you, to make sure they will get paid). I then explain I'd like to schedule another appointment next week just for a re-cement. Cool.. Then I ask for a copy of my x-rays. She refuses, saying it's $25. I ask to email it. She refuses, saying it's $25. So I'm thinking, ok, I've done this in the past with their sister location, sounds ridiculous - I can't get a copy of something I already paid for? LOL. Ok cool, maybe it's a policy change, cool. I ask her to show me the policy in writing. She refuses. Wow. Here is where I think she starts going downhill. I tell her to check with the other office location.. She refuses. So I take matters into my own hands, understanding HIPAA rule 45 CFR 164.524, I have a right to copies of my x-rays, so I take a phone pic of my x-rays that were still up on the monitor where Dr. Kim took care of me. I go back to the back-window.. T.Y. doesn't like that LOL. She throws some HIPAA privacy violation at me. I shrug it off, grab my stuff and go. (It's not about the $25 .. it's about principle. Show me this policy you speak of lol. She took the "employee is always right approach," and showed her laziness). A day before I'm scheduled to come in for my next visit, I get a text saying my appointment has been moved up by several hours, WITHOUT MY CONSENT. After no response to my text response, I call the office to get confirmation of my "new" appt time. Cool. Day of appt... I walk into the front office. T.Y. has no eye contact with me.. so obviously she's still mad, maybe because I was able to still take the appt that she changed thinking I couldn't make it (vindictive). Her two assistants (bless their hearts), greet me with a surprise bill. $903, including a deductible from last visit that they failed to tell me about. (After speaking to my insurance, Blue Cross, they said it's a courtesy for the dentist office to tell me I will have to pay a deductible on my next visit.. well this office failed at that courtesy). The rest was for the larger permanent crown procedure that I DID NOT AGREE TO. All of this falls under T.Y.'s responsibility. Her job was to schedule me for the lower cost $60 procedure, a job she failed at. They talk among themselves... then try to bill me for a 3rd.... Dr. Bringhurst is by far the best dentist I've ever had. Great office & staff. I recommend them highly..
Every time my family or myself needs to go to the dentist there is no fear any longer. I can actually say we ALL enjoy Dr. Wilson, Veronica, and all of the staff, but especially Amber! She is by far one of the most kind, intelligent and welcoming people I have ever met. So much so, that my 8 month old lil guy will hang out with her while mom is being worked on and you won’t hear a peep! She is also very informative about my insurance and what we can make happen without breaking the bank! Truly, the whole staff is wonderful and I am grateful to be a patient of Dr. Wilson’s!.
Started with this office in 2009 to be fitted for an orthotic to help with my migraines. The team was so phenomenal & professional I couldn’t help but entrust them with all of my dental care! I’ve lived around the world & travel regularly, but I’ll still find time to come see them for my regular visits. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid dental clinic..
Very fast and efficient office and staff are top notch very family oriented doctor Branham and doctor Simister are of the highest caliber.
