I visited Dr Mortenson because he was the ONLY dentist at the time that accepted my insurance in the area. After a checkup he scheduled for a filling on the one cavity that he found. He told me I should have my wisdom teeth removed and I agreed to that even though they were not bothering me. At my appointment he found something like 7 other cavities and filled them. He then said he didn\'t have time to fill the one cavity I had needed filled. He removed my wisdom teeth instead. He wanted to re-schedule me to fill the one cavity that required work. Prior to his finding all those cavities (that he missed in my checkup) I hadn\'t had 7 cavities in my entire life. I haven\'t had any in the years since. I was so disgusted that I ignored my one cavity, feeling very betrayed. Bad choice, it resulted in a root canal. My ONE cavity I needed filled cost me $1700 at the end of this sad story.
