I would not recommend this hospital's emergency room department, nor mental health services if I were a dead man walking, or to anyone who is not dead! If you value your civil liberties; your Constitutional rights, and patient rights that allow you to refuse services from a hospital; or too seek services elsewhere, or even physically leave a hospital, I would steer clear from NWH, or run for your life! In lieu of Justina Pelletier's ordeal at Boston Children's Hospital, many parents will be searching for another hospital that does not share the same unlawful practices that deprive people of their civil liberties, and Constitutional rights. Newton Wellesely is not one of those hospitals. In fact, it shares similar inhumane, unethical, and unlawful practices, procedures, and a patient right's policy that has historically deprived patients of the same civil liberties and constitutional rights that were taken away from Justina Pelletier, and her family. NWH has, for decades, remained inconspicuous to the general public of its violations and unlawful practices. I suggest doing your legwork, and researching other hospitals outside of MA, before considering NWH. At least until their patient rights policies are changed, and their staff are fully trained to have a greater regard and more compassion for the rights of their mental health patients in the hospital.
