Very Very Very disappointed with the job that they did to me. I went to get some crowns and, it seems that everybody that was working there was learning the job because, all of them made many mistake and, I lost more than $7,700.00 Dollars with that job. The crowns had a very round shape and they try to shape them after they installed them in my mouth. I could not eat for two days. The crown had different colors and when they shape some of them, they got even worst. The girl that installed the crown put them pointing to the side and upfront. The teeth were not sharp. They had a shape like, jelly bean. I had to go several time and, they treated me like they did not want to see me there. What they preach is not what they deliver. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody, well, just to my enemy. I am talking to my lawyer..
I first saw Dr. Kong because I had a pain in my cheek and jaw that another dentist at the time said was nothing. I was at first reluctant because my other dentist was in midtown, and Dr. Kong was located in Forest Hills, a trek for me from work. But I thought I would go get a second opinion, and boy was it a good thing I did go see Dr. Kong. First, I was really impressed with his bedside manner and his standard of care. He cared about my pain and didn't just jam his hands into my mouth like some dentists. He examined my tooth and found out that the reason I was having so much pain and that my gums were starting to bubble was that I had fractured my molar because I grinded my teeth, and the bacteria was eating away at my nerves and bone. He cleaned it out and told me that it was a hopeless tooth and that I would at some point have to remove it. He also made me a really good mouthguard that was much better than the one I had before, and told me that this would help lessen my grinding so that I would not crack my teeth again. He told me that as long as it was not bothering me or flaring up, I could have some time to think about it. Hoping for a miracle, I decided not to remove it. But a few months later, it flared up again. He cleaned it out again, and told me the same thing. He really wanted it to be my choice, and my comfort was his number one priority. Again, I was hoping for a miracle, but a few months later, it started bothering me again. And so I decided to just take it out. Since Dr. Kong is a periodontist, I really trusted his judgment and skills with oral surgery. But I was still scared, which was why I didn't want to remove the tooth in the first place. He was really gentle, and it was so fast that I barely knew that he took it out. He numbed me up, counted to 30 seconds and it was done. Then he took great care to clean out the cyst so that I would not have an infection. He did a great job, and three weeks later, you would barely know that I had any tooth problems. I'm definitely going back to him for a dental implant when the bone graft completely heals. Overall, he's one of the best dentists that I have had..
While I did not survive a real life threatening episode, I truly feel that Dr. Kong saved my life. I had been in severe pain for several days and was completely at my wits end. Pain meds had stopped working and nothing gave me relief. Honestly, I was frantic. Dr. Kong took an xray and since the tooth had already been root canaled and retreated by someone else, the only choice left was an extraction. I was naturally quite terrified since the last tooth that came out was a baby tooth when I was a child. Dr. Kong took control of the situation and in just a few moments, he had me out of pain. The extraction itself was completely painless. He had to tell me when it was over, since I had my eyes closed. I will be forever grateful to him for relieving what I can only describe as excruciating pain. I have been fine ever since and will go back to him for further care and an implant. His staff is warm, friendly and professional. The office is modern and immaculately clean and Dr. Kong is terrific dentist and very kind person..
I've been visiting Dr. Moon and Dr. Kong for approximately 2 years now and each time I've experienced friendly, courteous staff and extremely knowledgeable doctors. I have had fill-ins, cleanings, and additional orthodontic work. I never wait long and have always been able to get an appointment within a few days. I highly recommend this office!!.
