My daughter has a doctor's office phobia from getting stitches on her face at age five. Since then, even getting a flu shot has been an ordeal. We tried different pediatric dentists to no avail. Now my daughter is 9 and I was referred to Dr. Kim by a friend who knew this about my daughter and I gave him a shot. Boy, he spent a good 20 minutes just talking to her. - not just to calm her down but he began joking and playing with her. After her treatment, she came out saying that wasn't too bad!!! Dr. Kim takes his time and is definitely the most thorough dentist I know. If you want to be in and out of the dental office in 20 min, this may not be your fit but if you are a type of person who values thorough service with care, I highly recommend him. My son and I waited in the lobby with Keurig carafe (with all kinds of K-cups- a big plus for me) reading and i-pad'ing. When she was done, we all took turns for treatment. This was a very relaxing dental office visit for all of us. The only downside is that this place is very difficult to find unless you know the place. The medical building, of course, easy to find, but you won't ever think there is a dental office. Once you find yourself there, however, it is so pristine and secluded that you feel a sense of privilege!
